Ganmain Quilt show

Ganmain Quilt Show Oct 29 & 30 2011

Following are just a few quick pics of the magnificent display at the Ganmain Quilt Show held this past weekend.  I would have taken more but was too busy selling to leave the post for too long.

They're a keen bunch of quilters out west and how they love their animal and tractor prints (and a bit of a chat) and a catchup on what's coming in to the shop over the next few weeks.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, I felt very much at home amongst the 'Ganmainian Quilters'

See all you girls when you are next in Murrumburrah.

Oh, and I mustn't forget about the famous Ganmain pies, yes I did buy 8 to take home. Yummo!

What about this little tablecloth, isn't it just devine!

My Favourite Things by Annie Downs

++++Yesterday I was notified that the complete range of this gorgeous line may not be available. However, I have decided to continue with the order in the hope that I can pick up the four missing fabrics at a later date.
If you look below you will see why I just had to have whatever I could get! I hope to have the fabrics in very soon and I have patterns printed off ready for you to collect your kits or just pick and choose. With a bit of luck the whole range might arrived (fingers crossed).++++

Fabulous News

I'm very excited to tell you that in the new year 2012 I will be launching a brand new website with shopping cart. This means that EVERY fabric and product will be listed for you to view and select from as well as new products.

(A huge task over the Christmas break to photograph and list all the stock....arrgh!)

It will make it much easier for you, the customer to order online and pay via paypal or secure credit card transaction if you wish. Of course you will still be able to phone your order through if this is what you prefer. The same friendly, helpful service will still be provided.

The website will include a newsletter subscription area for those of you who are not on my email list. That means you will have first hand news of what's happening in the store.

I am looking forward to being able to service a wider community of patchworkers in the future and hope you enjoy the new website.

More fabrics in the shop than on the blog

Due to the time it takes to photograph each fabric it is impossible to have every fabric on the blog. I try to add new fabrics as they arrive but there are hundreds of fabrics not pictured. If there is a particular colour or style you are looking for, email or call and I possibly will have it.

I stock fabrics from RJR, Timeless Treasures, Maywood Studio, Exclusively Quilters, Kennard & Kennard, Avlyn, Makower, Nutex, Red Rooster just to name a few....

Prices start at just $12 per metre with the average price being around $18-$20. Fat quarters are $4.50 and $6

I also stock a range of haby items, Olfa cutters, curved safety pins, rulers, mats, schmetz sewing machine needles, scissors, 3m tapes, pins, marking pencils etc. 2.4m wide wool/poly batting & 100% cotton batting $22 pm, 2.4m wide polyester batting $15 pm, 1.2m wide quilted calico $12.95 pm, iron on and non iron pellon, cushion inserts, vliesofix and much more.

Beginner patchwork/sewing classes are Tues & Thurs 10am-1pm, 1st & 3rd Wed evenings 6pm-9pm at a cost of $15. Regular workshops are also run with visiting and local tutuors.
Murrumburrah Stitchers meet on Wednesdays in the workroom from 10am cost $5

If you would like to join a class or enquire about next year's tutors please contact me to check availability.
